Part of our safari was a visit to a Masai village. The Masai are obviously used to having tourists and greeted us with songs and a tour. At the end, they showed us the primary school nearby and the children sang for us too. Here are some pictures and videos of the Masai village.
The Chief of the village was our guide, he is on the right. The chief told us several times that he has three wives and many children!
Masai women – they sang for us when we arrived. They also make and sell the souvenirs at the village.
This little boy followed me around the village and at one point either he or his friends grabbed a pen right out of my purse! One of the tour guides saw them and started yelling at them, and I didn’t know why. Then the guide kind of sheepishly hands me this pen and says, “they took it out of your purse.” He looked so upset, but all I could do was laugh!
This baby goat was only a day old – so cute!!!! He was crying for his mother the whole time we were there.
Here are the videos of the children singing:
Ok, just one video for now, can’t get the other one to upload. Enjoy!
